i played this on stealth mode, and i feel like it could have hugely benefitted from being more punishing. when i forced myself to engage with the stealth mechanics it was quite fun, but there wasn't anything stopping me from just running into the store and tanking the damage. overall was quite charming though

ArlucGames responds:

Thanks for playing and for your feedback! I suppose I could have made it that when you get caught by knights you're thrown out of the store and take more damage so you lose progress and health.

takes a fairly simple mechinic and manages to iterate upon it in interesting ways for the duration of its entire run time. nice work!

honestSpoof responds:

aaaa im really glad you enjoyed it tysm!

these sorta dress up games aren't really my thing but the art's really cute

sonicgilberth00 responds:

Thanks. I like to draw cute stuff

neat lil bite sized gameplay experience with a very strong visual aesthetic and an engaging, albeit simple, puzzle.

my main issue with it is that, for some reason, they game really seemed to bug out with my cursor. first it would gradually slide to the right of the screen, and upon refreshing the page it would just remain stuck in the bottom right, forcing me to unfocus the window whenever i wanted to select something. (i'm using firefox as my browser, if that's important)

still though, the fact that i was willing to wrestle with the controls to continue playing is a true testiment to the quality of the game, nice work!

edit: it's been a hot minute since i played this so i couldn't tell you all the details, however i will say i definitely didn't have a controller plugged in

Emptygoddess responds:

Did you have a controller plugged in?

pretty entertaining game! solid gameplay loop, with a large varity of weapons serving to constantly spruce things up. would've played to the end but being sent back to the beginning after dying to the boss is a bit of a pisstake.

streq responds:

Thanks for the feedback! The bossfight now restarts on death!

certainly an interesting challenge, with a very simple gameplay loop that still manages to be incredibly addictive. will definitely be coming back to this every once in a while

YaenGames responds:

Thank you! I'm sure you'll make it all the way some day :)

Pretty neat game. REALLY dig the poly aesthetic the artist went with here. The game itself has been completely kickin my ass but it's fun enough to incentivise me to keep comin back. Keep up the great work lads

thegoodowl responds:

Thanks so much! Glad it's a good challenge that makes you wanna keep trying :D

Yo nice game, definitely feel like I'm gonna come back to this every once in a while.
If there's one bit of criticism I could give though, it'll be that the tutorial is a bit too wordy imo. Like there's so much to read that your brain just kinda takes none of it in.
Though overall, this is some really solid gameplay and art, very reminiscent of Don't Starve or smth. Keep up the great work!

Stopsignal responds:

Thank you so much!! love Don't Starve and it's art, so this means a lot, hahahahah

And indeed! Considering how the mechanics were so punishing if played incorrectly i decided it might have been the best, easy to do approach (making tutorials is kind of a pain, hahaha), but i absolutely see it's kind of too much. Probs should have staggered it with various screens, hmm

haha yup
